Version 1.2.0: Back in Town

Well, this has been a long time coming. After several delays and other projects, I’m finally happy to release version 1.2. This update is based on updating all sorts of systems and mechanics to be of higher quality and create a better gameplay experience.
I hope you enjoy.
- General
- The game can now be paused
- The option settings can be access during gameplay in the pause menu
- Added a fullscreen toggle
- Updated Unity version to 2022.3.28 LTS

- Monsters
- General
- The monster pathfinding now uses the A* algorithm instead of Unity’s default pathfinding package
- Fixed an issue where monsters tended to get stuck on each other
- Increased monster speed across the board
- Monster spawning is now based on a per wave weight system, Meaning each wave can only spawn a certain number of monsters, and some are more likely to appear
- Added a tip on the death screen based on the monster that caught the player
- Monsters will now teleport closer to the player if they are too far away to prevent the player from having too much downtime
- General
- New monsters
- Statue
- The Statue is a fast chaser but can’t move while it’s being looked at.
- Phantom
- The Phantom is slower than other monsters but can move thought walls.
- Stalker
- The Stalker is invisible until it is in attacking range.
- Giant
- The Giant cannot be stunned. Better keep running.
- Statue
- Treasures
- Replaced the treasure spawning algorithm with something more controlled
- Fixed an issue where a treasure could be collected twice
- Audio
- General audio level rebalances
- Added options to adjust audio levels
- Added missing audio for the FlashStun
- After escaping a monster, the chase music will fade out and the ambience music will fade back in
- User interface
- Added gameplay tips on the waiting screen
- All menu screens have a more consistent layout
- Spelling and grammar checks across the board
- Options screen
- New sub menu that contains gameplay information and options
- The controls have been removed from the how to play screen and now have their own screen
- Added a new options menu with audio options
- Hub
- FlashStun icon now physically recharges
- Replaced the ‘Treasures’ text with an icon to save on space
